Tomasz Potaczek, MD, PhD

DESCRIPTION:

Dr. Tomasz Potaczek graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków in 2003. Since 2005, he has been employed at the University Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital in Zakopane, and since 2006, also at the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation of the Jagiellonian University, where he holds the position of assistant professor. In 2011, he obtained the title of Specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System. In 2012, he was awarded a PhD in medical sciences with distinction for his dissertation on the “Natural history of spinal deformity in patients with spinal muscular atrophy.”

Dr. Tomasz Potaczek is a member of numerous scientific societies, including:
• President of the Polish Spine Surgery Society AOSpine (Chairman AOSpine Poland),
• EuroSpine, the Spine Society of Europe,
• Polish Society of Pediatric Orthopedics.

He is also a lecturer at many international courses, co-organizer of scientific conferences, and actively involved in non-profit organizations.
