Samra Pjanic, MD, PhD

DESCRIPTION:

Dr Samra Pjanic is a specialist of physical and rehabilitation medicine and has worked in the Institute for physical medicine, rehabilitation and orthopedic surgery „dr Miroslav Zotovic“ in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Hercegovina since 2011.

Her work is focused on the treatment of pediatric patients, especially children with spinal and thoracic cage deformities. She completed numerous educations regarding scoliosis treatment options: PSSE (Schroth and SEAS) and bracing (Cheneau and Sforzesco brace).In 2020 she became the first international ISST instructor for physicians.  

In 2022 she completed a PhD investigating the effects of Cheneau Sobernheim brace in the conservative treatment of idiopathic scoliosis.

This year she became a President of Scosym, international symposium for management of spinal deformities.
