Dr. Fabio Zaina is a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, with extensive experience in the treatment of spinal disorders. Since 2006, he has been working at ISICO (Italian Scientific Spine Institute) in Milan, focusing on scoliosis and spinal conditions.
Beyond his clinical practice, he is actively involved in scientific research and publishing. Since 2011, he has been Assistant Editor of the European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Associate Editor for BMC since 2014. He is also engaged in academic teaching and research collaboration with Harvard Medical School, where he has been the Site Director of the SOSORT Group for the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research course since 2016.
His contributions to the field have been widely recognized. He has won multiple SOSORT Awards for outstanding research (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2023) and received special mentions from Europa Medicophysica. His involvement in scientific societies is significant: he was a founding member of SOSORT, served as its President in 2016, and remains an active member of ISSLS, Eurospine, and GSS.
