Dr. Elisabetta D'Agata, PhD in clinical psychology, is an Italian psychologist and a researcher, specialized primarily in the area of Idiopathic scoliosis.
She believes in the indissolubility of the mind-body unit and she is aware of a need for a human support in patient treatment.
Her research interests are related to the application of the bio-psycho-social model in the treatment of the patients with scoliosis. Throughout her career, she has explored the quality of life in adolescents with IS, particularly specific issues related to body image and emotional aspects (listed at the end).
She is strongly motivated in the educational field as a trainer in some of the most important international programs. She has written a book (2018) related to the psychological aspects of Idiopathic Scoliosis.
